Iron Range Snow Conditions

Well, we’ve had some warm(er)-than-normal weather and I know many of you were concerned about the conditions of the trails. Areas near wetlands (swamps) continue to lack some grooming- so be prepared, but hey, with all the stand-up riding going on it shouldn’t be a bother… “stand-up riding” isn’t that what we did in 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and most of the 90’s before we brought long travel into the picture???

I took a ride last Friday and I’m here to report that the trails are in GOOD condition. There are some areas of slush, here and there, but much of the trails are in great shape.

We also received a dusting of snow over the weekend, so that’s helped to freshen up the trails. Plus, the forecast has some chilly temps in store for the area, so that’ll help with the freezing of swampy areas along the trails.

Again, all in all its better now than it’s been in years so I’m not complaining and, I think ,overall, you guys and gals will have a great ride and an enjoyable time. Remember, “keep to the right” because it’s your duty to keep things safe for yourself and for others.

Catch me on the trail again soon! As I am not out there every day, any of you that are able to be out there, please let me know where you’re riding and what you’re seeing out on the trails, too!

Regards, from your IronRange.org trail guide.
