Hi! I’m Dave Karpik, from BLADE Motorsports and welcome to northern Minnesota riding. For those of you unfamiliar… I have been involved in snowmobiling since the 60’s… back in the days when my Dad would bring home a used sled, used scooter, or used whatever… and they never ran. The point was that if we managed to fix it we could ride it. That was the initial stepping stone to my career in snowmobiling. I am now proud to be a part of producing the world’s finest handling, easiest riding snowmobile ever– the BLADE snowmobile and its made right here in Eveleth, MN.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the BLADE… we formally initiated its development in 1992 with its market unveiling in 1998. Since then, BLADE has revolutionized snowmobiling and became the most-followed developer, manufacturer, and marketer of snowmobiles and snowmobile-related products- some may argue this point and I welcome the discussion. But our small team of driven enthusiasts and craftsmen brought comfort, control and handling to the forefront of snowmobiling and it remains our mantra. We are the smallest and only manufacturer in snowmobiling that employs “CAFE” (cost after function excels) and a disciplined production philosophy as our guide to creating a very special snowmobile… almost like a one-of-a-kind. Perhaps some day we’ll meet on the trail and you’ll be able to test ride a BLADE and judge for yourself how unique and special a snowmobile truly can be.
As for riding in northern Minnesota- its starts with being able to ride from the back door. For many of you it will be from the motel, resort or cabin and from there you can ride over two thousand miles of groomed trails and that’s without even leaving St. Louis County… which doesn’t include all the spurs, logging road, rivers, lakes, etc. So touch base with this website now and then to see what conditions are or where the hot spot is.
